SCI Gunnison brings hunters, conservationists and community partners together to protect wildlife, preserve hunting traditions and support the next generation of sportsmen and women. Rooted in the Gunnison Basin, our chapter directs its efforts toward local conservation, education, advocacy and community programs, ensuring that the funds we raise make a meaningful difference close to home.

Our mission is to foster fellowship among those who share a passion for the outdoors and hunting while promoting the conservation of renewable wildlife resources through education, responsible management practices, and shared knowledge. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to preserving our natural heritage and ensuring future generations can enjoy and appreciate the traditions of the outdoors.
Funds Stay Here
We support our mission through our fundraising efforts and providing grant donations. Our annual banquet/ fundraiser is the primary source of funds. All money collected goes toward our efforts. The good news is 70% of all funds raised stay here. That’s right the majority of our efforts stay local. If you or someone you know have a group that would like to apply for a grant, please submit your application to the address below.
